Mountain Lovin'

The first weekend in April we made a quick decision to take a trip out to Black Hawk,CO for a HPT event. Both Brandon and I always wanted to see Colorado. Being he won some money at the HPT event in Deadwood a month earlier and another kid on the way, we decided this may be our only chance. Black Hawk is about 40 minutes west of Denver in the mountains. It's an old washed up mining town that was revived by a gamblers paradise, CASINO'S! Every building in a mile stretch was a casino! No gift shops or boutiques :( I'm not a gambler so it made for a boring day and a half while Brandon played in a HPT qualifier and making it through to the next day. He got knocked out that next morning. We spent the remaining couple of days doing the sightseeing thing. We toured the Coors Brewery, Lookout Mountain, Buffalo Bill's grave, Bouttier's(sp) Mansion (Colorado's 1st Entrepeneur)and the Denver Zoo. Overall, it was a great time and a very nice break from being mommy! :)

I just couldn't wait to get a pic of the girls in their matching shirts I got at Old Navy. I planned on having them wear these shirts for their photo shoot with the new baby in August. McKenzie and I had a tough time getting Addison to sit nicely so McKenzie just had to grab Addison and hope it turned out. You'll also see this pic along with a pregnant shot of me and some of Brandon in the Lucky Nugget episode of the Heartland Poker Tour. Brandon's final table appearance got him a profile shot in the show. Be sure to stay tuned in on ourblog. I'll post the dates it will air.

Do The Potty Dance!

Addison has taken an interest to the potty chair and mommy has been able to catch her and swoop her away to the chair before she does #2 in the diapers. Yesterday morning, she awoke and had a dry diaper, so, daddy placed her on the potty chair for some easy reading and hopes of a somewhat full potty chair. I had to get the camera out because it was such a great photo op.

Long Lost Blog

Boy! For as much time as I have being a stay-at-home mom, you'd think I would keep this updated regularly! I guess my life isn't as "exciting" as other bloggers. Well, I might as well add this to one of many New Years resolutions I need to keep.

It's been almost a year since I last blogged. I'm gonna start new and if you really care to hear about the last year, I'll sum it up in an e-mail for you, but who REALLY cares! Right?

Where was spring this year? I guess it came, just in the form of a couple winter blizzards. I don't mind now, the sun has been out and the tempatures have been comfortably in the 70's. I got excited and "camera happy" on Wednesday afternoon and decided to take our 10 mo. old out for a photo shoot. Here are some of the pictures.
